FORCE OF NATURE
Abstract works by Guest Artist Jane Cook
Showing at New Concept Gallery - Summer 2015
Jane Cook has an improvisational approach to painting, balancing intent and chance, and allowing the process to guide her. Her work draws from nature, but is nonrepresentational, concerned with the expression of nature's spirit and subtle light.
Describing her work, Jane states: “I choreograph color on the canvas. A painting is complete when it breathes, creating a space into which the eye can wander.”
Jane Cook has shown in galleries in New York and Los Angeles, as well as numerous Santa Fe galleries, including William Siegal, Tadu, and Photo Eye. This is her second show with New Concept Gallery.
