Steven a. Jackson
Steven A. Jackson is a graduate of St. John's College with an MA from University of Toronto. He has pursued various business careers - but through all of them he maintained his interest in and dedication to photography. Initially, this involved traditional black and white darkroom techniques.
His current photos, however, are "totally digital" but do not involve significant manipulation, nor any compositing. They are essentially black and white images which utilize a tinting and toning technique with occasional blurring, that provides a subtlety and softness to his colors. Each photograph has an individual palette dictated by the image itself.
