cecilia kirby binkley
Born in Lima, Peru, Cecilia Kirby Binkley spent her childhood throughout South America and Europe gaining varied cultural and aesthetic experience. She has lived in Santa Fe for the past twenty-seven years and the landscape and the color of this area have provided great inspiration for her brilliant, abstracted paintings. Her plein aire pieces are created with heavy palette applied oils on canvas. She has painted mountain villages, Abiqiui cliffs and beautiful seasonal aspen woodlands.
